Astragalus is an Adaptogen that is nourishing and supports the lungs, heart and liver. Wonderful taken long term this root strengthens digestion, increases energy and brainpower. This is a wonderful herb for little ones as it is very mild tasting and is so wonderful for strengthening little immune systems and excellent for gut health. I give this one to my son regularly. Famous for being able to shorten the duration of a cold it is now being studied as adjunctive therapy for various types of cancer and hepatitis.
The active ingredients in astragalus are called Astragalosides and are being studied for their ability to maintain telomere length. Telomeres are the strands on the ends of DNA that shorten as we age. My personal experience is that astragalus is a miraculous gift that can aid in the igniting of our dormant DNA. As we evolve from using only two strands to becoming completely restructured to our 12 strand crystaline DNA, we are in the process of being "turned on" and Astragalus supports this activation. It's long been used in Asia for degeneration and damage to nerves and has always held a deeper energetic purpose we are just now realizing how supportive this plant is to our ascension. I use this daily in addition to solar light therapy as food for healing DNA and to support the decalcification of the Pineal Gland. Astragalus is also wonderful for alleviating ascension symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, nausea and flu like symptoms.
"THE" major herb for rejuvenation in Ayurvedic medicine. Ashwagandha is used for alleviating stress, fatigue, difficulty concentrating and lack of energy. It imparts a sense of "well being". It is a wonderful herb for the immune system and improves learning, memory and libido! An Adaptogen renowned for overall health and longevity it has been used traditionally for restoring health after illness, balancing hormones, and boosting libido. In Ayurvedic philosophy, one of Ashwagandha’s benefits is that it is said to increase circulation of ojas, loosely translated as life force energy, which is the vital subtle energy that food is converted to and that fuels our body, mind and spirit. Correlating to the idea of Jing (vital essence) in Chinese Medicine, Ashwagandha restores these two fundamental energies in the body, which increases overall well-being and has the effect of literally regenerating and rejuvenating the body from the inside out. Ashwagandha is a transformational herb for daily use to increase energy and reduce stress. I have also traditionally used Ashwagandha to balance, strengthen and open and activate the root chakra, use this nourishing, vitalizing herb to support you in various spiritual practices concerned with Kundalini energy and to balance all the energetic systems of the body.

Anandamide is a type of lipid (fat). The word ‘ananda’ translates from the Sanskrit language as ‘bliss’. This naturally produced chemical is most concentrated in the body after exercise, the “runner's high”. Anandamide gives us feelings of bliss and euphoria, and also decreases pain perception, as well as assisting in regulating appetite and mood. Cacao contains both anandamide and anandamide reuptake inhibitors, which are molecules that slow the breakdown of the anandamide. This allows the anandamide to remain longer in the brain and with it the associated blissful feelings.
